A visit from Vicki and Pat

Vicki and Pat came to visit! We didn't get many pictures - other than Kate reading to Pat (and Pat kept exclaiming, "she can read?!?) and Pat sleeping - with a heater and a blanket with her hood up!

 

Another quick trip to Cincinnati - with a pit stop

For the second time this year, the Outlook Group acquisition took me to Cincinnati for a quick trip. On the way out, I had an extra long layover in Chicago thanks to a cancelled flight (I was lucky to get one that night!), so I called Taylor and took an Uber out to visit. Via text, he told me to just come in. The funny part was that he didn't tell Hayley, so, as they were sitting eating dinner, an unexpected person just came barging in their house! She was surprised and ready to come running at me! It was fun to hang out with them for a few hours.

One night, I hung out with Rob and Holly, Brad, and Jason. We hung out late into the night. They informed me that this wasn't something they did regularly (in case I ever thought of moving back).

Another thing that I discovered on the trip was how much fun it is to eat dinner with and hang out with just me and my parents. It doesn't happen often, coming from a family of 5 kids and coming with a family of 5 kids!
