With Dani out of town, Jared decided to take the kids on the 4T trail through Portland. We started at the zoo parking lot and started on the Marquam trail, going 1.3 miles through the woods towards Council Crest Park. All started the day in good spirits and ready for an adventure.
Council Crest Park is the highest point in Portland with views of Portland and Mt Hood.
From Council Crest, we headed towards OHSU, going 2.2 miles with a stop at Marquam Nature Park. The trail is so unique - you can see houses, but it really feels like it's in the middle of nowhere.
Once at OHSU, we made our way to the overlook next to the tram, again offering incredible views of the Willamette Valley and the Willamette River.
T#2 was supposed to be the aerial tram, but unfortunately, it was closed, so, we took a bus instead!
T#3 is "trolly," but unfortunately, the streetcar we planned on riding was ALSO closed! So, we took another bus to dinner.
Dinner (not a T) was at Grassa (because I love that place!). The kids liked it (most of them did, at least).
T#4 worked! We took the train back to the Zoo exit.
It was certainly a tiring day, but it was memorable and totally worth it! What a fun crew!
