Foys Lake - Time on the water

Some of the highlights of the week were on the water, sometimes behind a boat, other times on a paddleboard or kayak, and often, just around the dock area.

We got to have multiple ski runs every day, and the water was awesome!

John and Vicki spent some time up on waterskis! Pretty impressive for these two to still be able to get up on skis!

There were lots and lots of tube rides! John and Heath pulled kids every day in various combinations. Some rides were pretty tame,

and others were a little more thrill-seeking.

The kids spent a lot of time on various watercraft. It was nice to have a private area of the lake where the kids could roam.

There was also a lot of playing at the lake. Having the lake just down the hill meant that we could come and go throughout the day.

Sometimes, it was nice to just hang out at the lake.

One highlight was the trampoline. We could swim out to it play on it. It wasn't exactly springy - but it was fun to play games on.

Jared took kids on paddleboard rides. Torin's balance is incredible! He would stand as they paddled together.

Jared and Dani took regular sunset paddles - what an incredible way to end the day at such a beautiful place!

The view of the lake from the cabin was beautiful. It was amazing how much time the lake spent looking like glass! There was hardly a day with boats on the water or waves on the lake, so it was perfect for all water activities. Mornings and evenings were particularly incredible.

Streeter Reunion - Foys Lake, Kalispell Montana

We had our Streeter Family Reunion at Foys Lake, near Kalispell Montana, and it was an incredible place!

We had a lot of fun times at the cabin, which had a big deck overlooking the lake.

The cousins spent all day, every day together. We love that our kids have the chance to be such good friends with their cousins.

There was a lot of time spent in the hot tub. After a couple days, the hot tub started looking questionable, so Dani decided our kids wouldn't be allowed in it anymore. Turns out - she was right! Most of the cousins that kept going into the hot tub ended up getting major rashes, which our kids, fortunately, avoided.

Torin and Treycen had their own sleeping nook, up a ladder. They loved it - and best of all, once they were in bed, they stayed in bed!

The kids played a lot of Settlers of Catan. Sometimes they played on the table

Sometimes, the games were played on the floor,.

Glacier National Park

We spent one day up at Glacier National Park. It is June, but it was sweatshirt weather there. It was overcast, so the grand vistas were not really visible on the Going to the Sun road. We drove up to the Logan Pass Visitor Center. One memory we have is a group of cyclists huddled next to the fire - it was a cold and damp ride for them!

We spent time at Lake McDonald. The next year, there were big fires here, so I'm sure it wouldn't look the same.

We took a short hike on the Trail of the Cedars. It was a short hike and pretty flat, but it was beautiful.

Afterward, we went across the road to the river and hiked around.

There were lots of rocks thrown

and a fun tree bridge to cross.

Liam did his hair extra special and added some personality for pics!

A few more late-spring moments

We can't remember where this was, but a big Lego exhibit of Multnomah Falls has to go in the blog book!

Nilkanth Gheware, who is a consultant Jared is working with to implement the Oracle system, came over and cooked us true Indian food. He spent hours making a variety of food including rices and a fried legumes dish called vada.

It was very fragrant everything tasted so wonderful - both the first time we had it and as leftovers for the next day or two. Though we realize that leftovers got more spicy as time went on!

Liam LOVES the elders who are serving with us - he likes to dab and then kind of go crazy. Also, the Elders LOVE Liam!

Kate says Why wear only once costume when you can wear ALL of them at the same time - including a random batting glove sock.

Dani found a new shirt - and it is kind of hilarious!!!

We call the Bowles' yard our "annex," The kids like to go back and forth between the yards through the holes in the fence. They blew out years ago, and Jared tried fixing them, but they blew out again, and none of us really want to fix them now.

The Precoa golf outing is always fun!

Jared and Dani had a nice date night in Portland at Les Miserables. This was Dani's first time seeing it. Jared cried. Like usual!
