Misc pictures of the kids

Liam is taking his " Just Hanging Out" pajamas a little too literally

Future Elder Jensens after an FHE on missionary work

Torin loves milkshakes, but they are pretty loud to make!

There's hardly room for Torin with all those stuffed animalus under that blanket.

You wouldn't like her when she gets angry

The class stuffed animal comes home to spend a weekend with Liam and Kate.

Church drawings - at least Kate's drawings are spiritual in nature!

Torin loves getting glammed up in an Elsa dress

but even Elsa has rough days.

Torin figures, why limit yourself to just 1 costume genre?

Home art projects

Crazy hair day at school

Liam chose a mohawk. With as much as he ran around, it didn't last the entire day.

Torin's current favorite costume

Liam likes to wear his shoulder pads while riding. One can never be too cautious.

Teeth are falling out

Liam has had a loose tooth for a while. Jacob had an idea of how he could help him out! First, he had to take Liam's vitals to ensure that Liam was up for the procedure.

After checking him out, the extraction attempt started. Unfortunately, the extraction was not successful - at this time, at least

Fortunately, the procedure must have loosened it a little because within a few days, Liam was able to pull it out himself!

Meanwhile, Kate seems to loose a tooth every couple days. She tells us she has a loose tooth, and then within a few days, it's out, no drama whatsoever! Within about 6 weeks, Kate lost 3 teeth, leaving huge gaps in her smile!

As Nana always says, Jensens are "dentally gifted."

What good friends are for

When Taco Bell comes out with an idea as brilliant as the Naked Chicken taco, a taco with a shell made out of fried chicken, it is good to work with a good friend as impulsive as Jim.
And yes, it was as delicious as it sounds!

Home made cubbies and storage lockers

Jared recently completed a big project - cubbies and storage lockers for the garage. As our family grew, the laundry room, where we hung our coats and often left shoes, became more and more congested, so the answer was to find space on the other side of the door, in the garage.

Jared saw a design that he really liked. Unfortunately, it was just a few inches too big for the space, so Jared re-sized everything by quarter and eighths of inches to make them fit.

It took many evenings, weekends, and new and borrowed tools. Some evenings were chilly, but fortunately, there was a couch to relax on from time to time!

but in the end, it all came togehter with surprisingly fewer trips to the hardware store than anticipated!

Jared enlisted Tom Jensen's help to hoist the individual pieces into place, and they ended up fitting with less than 1/2 inch to spare! We're thrilled with how they turned out - and hope to never have to move them!

Celebrating Valentine's with food

For Valentine's Day, we made and decorated lots and lots and lots of cookies!

And we shared a super fancy, all-pink meal!

And we got dressed up for a real date!

Science experiment

Jacob and Claire decided to joint the 5th grade science fair this year. For their experiment, they decided what the fastest way to chill a can of soda -

in a tub of ice water or a tub of salted ice water.

The beginning temperature

The conclusion - adding salt to the ice water lowers the temperature of the water solution and allows the cans of soda to chill faster.

The great part of this experiment? The drinking of the nice cold sodas after the experiment was over!

A fantastic holiday - Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day!

The other day, Jared was searching on a site that listed random holidays and discovered Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, so of course we had to celebrate!

Waffles, peanut butter, maple syrup, and, of course, cookies and cream ice cream! The kids thought we should celebrate weekly.

Torin loves his stuffed animals

It seems that Torin's love of stuffed animals continues to grow, and he doesn't want to leave any behind. When he is tucked in at night, he asks that all of his stuffed animals be tucked under one of his arms (he lifts an arm and says "da pocket?") and then be tucked in under his blanket.

He doesn't stay that way for long - I'm sure he plays with them after we leave, but he loves being snuggled in with them.
