2017 quotes
Liam
"I have a different weather than the rest of you"
- 2/7 Liam's reasoning for why he didn't want to pull his loose tooth out (Kate had pulled hers out the week before).
"You know there's a bigger sink over there"
- 3/30 to a bigger kid using the short sink in DisneyWorld.
"I got the most Mo-mon tea"
- 5/4 - the kids preschool had them making invitations for Mother's Day tea on tea bags. Liam made sure his fit the word of wisdom.
*SNORT*
- 8/25 - a proud moment for parents. At the Kindergarten preview, Dani introduced Liam to a classmate and his mom. Liam didn't talk, he just snorted. Turns out it was one of the kids who would become a friend!
"When I get older, I want to join the army because defending is important. Even if I die, defending is important."
- October - Liam has developed a strong sense of civic pride.
"If I take a drink, it's not because it's too spicy - it's because I am thirsty"
- 10/16 - after being warned that the Sriracha was extra spicy and that he'd put quite a bit on his rice and beans, Liam went ahead and took a big bite - and immediately got big eyes.

- Spring/summer - his answers are often thought out. He typically answers "Oh" before he answers a question.

- When Torin was identifying that Claire and Kate are his sisters, he identified Liam as his brudder and Jacob as his hero. Jacob loved that - and proceeded to ask Torin who his hero was countless times over the next weeks.
"My Powers"
- Summer - Torin likes to use 'his powers' to do things, like open the door, lift things, etc, because he is 'trong.'
"I'm gonna miss them"
- Fall - when Jacob and Claire go to school. Torin sometimes tries to block the door to prevent them from leaving.
"Daadaa... dada... dada...dada, dada, dada,dada,dada I NEED TO TALK TO YOU!!! Dada,dada,dada"
- Fall - all the time! Also uses "mama." After "Dada" or "Mama" #1 or 2, we will respond to him, but he apparently doesn't know what he wants to say yet.

"Would you rather lose in front of a big crowd or a small crowd?"
- Claire to Kyle before the Boeckman Creek OBOB finals.
"I haven't eaten any vegetables all day, and they are the most important food group!"
- 8/15. It was after 9, all the other kids were in bed, and Claire had just come home from the zoo with Ceili. Dani and Jared had just gone for a run and were cooling down, and Claire comes bursting out of the house, running down the street barefoot, declaring that she couldn't possibly go to bed without eating any vegetables first!

- Jacob's new name for Dani
"I don't want to be the kid with a mom who has no fashion sense!"
- 8/25. Dani was wearing her hair up in short pig tails, and Jacob did not want to go to middle school preview with her looking like that!
