Family Fun in Summertime over the Fourth of July

We had weeks of family overlapping for the weeks surrounding the 4th of July. It is another awesome reason we love living in Cincinnati - any time someone comes to visit, we get to see them!

We spent the 4th of July at Nana's, having breakfast, enjoying the pool, parade, shooting fireworks, and all of the normal activities.

Kate and Adele, of course, were always within arms reach of one another. Sometimes, they were even matching!

We got to go to a baseball game. Nana and Papa's neighbor called them and offered access to a suite! It was perfect for our group!

Plus, it was on a Fireworks Friday, so even when the game didn't quite go the way we wanted,

we still got to relax and watch some beautiful fireworks!

Dani caught a sweet picture of 2 brothers leaving the game together in their matching Reds jerseys.

Jared and Taylor took the little boys out to Sharon Woods for a paddle. We had to have a couple boys on one board a few times!

Torin and Nolan kept finding fun things to do together.
They had some epic battles on the trampoline chasing each other around the trampoline with light sabers.

The kids had some kind of game with animals going on all week.

We had a couple lake days - captain Jared's happy place, of course!

The morning water was perfect!

One day was especially hot, but the bimini top for the boat took a lot of the heat off.

Taylor loves trying to jump the wake. He gets lots of air!

Dani looking relaxing and looking hot!

Dani and Hayley enjoyed their moms tube ride! Not pictured was Jared throwing Jacob and Taylor - it was awesome!

We took a trip paddling on the Little Miami River with the Christensen cousins.

Of course, we went to Morgan's canoe out by Camp Kern.

It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny. We got an early start so we weren't out in the middle of the day.

Torin and Liam joined Jared in his boat

The kids all had a great time too. It was a great way to continue a long tradition of canoeing over the 4th of July weekend!
